Cookie Policy
This policy explains how adilumer.com (the “site”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. “Similar technologies” include local storage and session storage, which can also hold small amounts of data in your browser.
2. How we use cookies and storage
Strictly necessary / functional
- Authentication. If you sign in to the admin area, the site may set a session cookie to keep you logged in securely.
- Security. Anti-forgery tokens help protect forms from cross-site request forgery.
- Theme preference. Your display theme choice may be stored in browser local storage (not a traditional cookie) so the site remembers your preference. This is limited to appearance and does not track you across other sites.
- Cookie consent choice. When you respond to the cookie notice, we store your choice in local storage so the notice is not shown again.
Third parties
- Cloudflare Turnstile may be used on the contact form to reduce spam. That service may set or read cookies on Cloudflare’s domains and process technical data according to Cloudflare’s privacy policy. It is only loaded where the contact form is shown.
- Content delivery networks (CDNs) for scripts or styles on some pages (for example math or code highlighting) are loaded only on those pages; those providers may process connection data under their own policies.
We do not use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking cookies on this site for profiling.
3. Legal basis (EEA / UK)
Where the GDPR / UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Strictly necessary cookies and equivalent storage for the operation and security of the site (including consent state), where permitted as “strictly necessary” under ePrivacy rules; and
- for other processing described in our Privacy Policy, the bases set out there (such as contract, legitimate interests, or consent where required).
4. Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site (for example login or forms) from working correctly. Clearing local storage will reset your theme preference and may show the cookie notice again.
5. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
6. Contact
For privacy-related questions, use the contact page or the details given in the Privacy Policy.
